Are you knowledgeable in cardiac and vascular procedural practice as well as emergency techniques and protocol? Come enjoy working in a positive atmosphere in our CV Observation unit. Assist physicians in performing and completing therapeutic cardiovascular procedures using a variety of specialized equipment, monitors, devices and supplies. Assist with pre, intra, and post procedure monitoring per hospital protocol. The registered nurse performs all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model. Collegial and collaborative care will reflect the philosophy of the Division of Nursing, the Mission and Core Values of the Sisters of Providence, and National Patient Safety Standards. Must be a graduate of an accredited / approved School of Nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska and possess BLS and ACLS. Schedule may vary to meet departmental needs. Requires basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, invasive cardiovascular pressures, basic EKG analysis and emergency protocols. Requires an ability to deal tactfully and compassionately with patients / families / significant others under potentially stressful conditions. Responsible for effective and constructive communication with staff / physicians / management and units. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.
