RN CARDIAC STRESS LAB - 49155 Company: Hospital Jobs Online Location: Anchorage, AK Description: Providence Hospitals Alaska - RN CARDIAC STRESS LAB - 49155 Job located - Anchorage, Alaska USA DATE POSITION TITLE JOB# 09 / 27 / 2009 RN CARDIAC STRESS LAB - -Register to view- Job Description: Do you have two or more years registered nurse experience in Cardiovascular, Emergency, or Progressive Care? Do you like positive patient and staff interaction? Come join the CV Observation Unit at Providence Alaska Medical Center. The registered nurse assists physicians in performing and completing therapeutic cardiovascular procedures using a variety of specialized equipment, monitors, devices and supplies. She / He is knowledgeable in cardiac and vascular procedural practice as well as emergency techniques / protocol. Assist with pre, intra, and post procedure monitoring per hospital protocol. Collegial and collaborative care will reflect the philosophy of the Division of Nursing, the Mission and Core Values of the Sisters of Providence, and National Patient Safety Standards. Graduate of an accredited / approved school of Nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska, BLS, and ACLS. Schedule may vary to meet department needs. Requires basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, invasive cardiovascular pressures, basic EKG analysis and emergency protocols. Requires an ability to deal tactfully and compassionately with patients, families, and significant others under potentially stressful conditions. Responsible for effective, constructive communication with staff, physicians, management and other units. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.
