Department Overview: WOODBURY CLINIC The multispecialty Woodbury Clinic offers primary care services for the entire family. The Woodbury Clinic provides family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, podiatry and nurse midwifery all in one convenient location. In addition to our primary care physicians, the clinic medical staff includes certified nurse practitioners. The clinic, located on the Woodwinds Health Campus, provides state-of-the-art technology in a comfortable setting. Work Location: Woodbury Clinic Contract: Non-contract Job Category: CMA & CMA or LPN Specific Area of Interest: Certified Medical Assistant City: Woodbury Shift: Day Authorized Hours - Minimum: Per Two Weeks 80 Authorized Hours - Maximum: Per Two Weeks Work Hours: Work Hours / Schedule (For Example: 7:00am-3:30pm or Every other weekend) Primary Function: & Major Responsibilities Provide professional, quality medical care to patients and quality support to medical staff in outpatient services while functioning within the scope of practice for a Certified Medical Assistant.Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups.Escorts patients to appropriate exam room and documents history in accordance with established outpatient procedures. Performs efficient hand off communication to provider.Provides telephone data collection as requested under the direction of an RN or provider.Completes patient history forms as required.Complies with Safety and Infection Control policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards.Prepares and distributes patient education materials as needed.Processes prescription refill requests.Processes patient referrals as indicated per site.Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education:Successful completion of accredited Medical Assistant program andcurrent certification.Experience: Minimum one year related experience preferred.Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Good Communication skills;Ability to work as a team member and independently;Good time management and organizational skills;Flexible and resilient;Positive and helpful attitude;Basic Life Support certification.
