Surg.  The floor is broken up in to 2 - 26 bed units with 4 Asst. Mgr’s for support.  This facility has been in business for 120 years and is based in western Connecticut and nearby New York.  A leading national source of health care business intelligence has placed my client, a 370 plus-bed facility, among the 100 Top Hospitals for better patient safety, shorter length of stay and lower mortality than its peer hospitals.  They are the primary provider for a population of 350,000 and community teaching hospital centers of excellence and many specialized programs.  If you would like a facility you can call home and desire growth opportunity, this would be it.  •Negotiable $4200 for relocationJOB DESCRIPTION:Nurse Manager of Med Surg•Day shift: 8:30am – 5pm, 40 hours / week•Responsible for patient care and related activities, unit operations, and staff functions•Accountable for providing clinical and administrative supervision and leadership, department performance, and the educational and developmental needs of the staff•Collaborate in strategic planning with management to support organizational goals and initiatives•Floor has 2 - 26 bed units  QUALIFICATIONS:•Minimum Bachelor Degree, Masters degree preferred •State of Connecticut RN license•7 years job related experience •Management skills and acute care nursing experience required•Some critical care experience preferred•Further coursework in strategic leadership preferred Please submit your resume as an MS Word attachment to Robin Black at -Register to view- -boston.com
