KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: In this role, the chosen candidate will be primarily accountable and responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the clinical operations of the OR, mostly in an administrative function. The successful candidate will take responsibility for clinical personnel management, which includes recruitment, selection, training, supervision and retention, in addition to overseeing the daily pre-operative, Operating Room and post-op staffing and operational processes. Involves ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures and safety programs; serving as a liaison between the Surgery Center, local hospitals and the community; and assisting with the development and monitoring of the standards of nursing care. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Requires a current state license as a Registered Nurse, current BCLS and ACLS / PALS certification within 6 months of hire date. Must have managerial competency and 2+ years of management experience in an inpatient setting. Must also have a firm understanding of healthcare-related documentation / systems, nursing skills / techniques and relative medical equipment.
