Job Title: RMA Engineer Company: Micron Technology Location: Boise, ID Description: As a QRA RMA/Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer you will be responsible for the high level analysis, classification, categorization, and reporting of customer and post production failures observed on Micron's Solid State Drive products.  This will include identifying and grouping fails based off fail information collected from customers, product history, electrical failure analysis (EFA) and physical FA (PFA), and other sources.  In the process of identifying if fails are due to a misprocessing event, test coverage or are random defects, you will determine which fails need EFA and PFA.  Once the fail status is determined, you implement corrective action by working within QRA and with other areas to identify improvements in test coverage, stress coverage, disposition or fabrication.  Once improvements have been implemented you will complete all required reports for both internal and external customers.Successful candidates for this position will have:  A minimum of 2 years of job related experience in the storage or related industry.Knowledge of storage interface standards such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, and Fibre Channel. Understanding of NAND memory operation.Experience using and programming ATE related to storage devices and/or NAND components.Programming experience in C, PERL.  JAVA, and JMP a plus.Familiarity with Windows, Linux and Mac OS.The ability to drive engineering efforts through all aspects of failure resolution.Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.Good communication, documentation, leadership, problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.Very good English verbal and written skills.The ability to work and maintain good relationships with Microns worldwide customer base. Education:  Minimum of a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline/experience.
