The core goal of the Shahbazim's work is to provide assistance in a manner that promotes a high quality of life and a positive elderhood. The Shahbazim will work cooperatively with other Shahbazim on the self-managed work team. The team and individual Shahbaz work collaboratively with the Clinical Support Team (CST). The CST directs all matters related to skilled nursing services. In addition to the job functions listed below, each Shahbazim will serve in a Coordinator role on a rotating basis, for a period not to exceed four (4) consecutive months. These positions are Team Coordinator, Food Coordinator, Housekeeping Coordinator and Scheduling Coordinator. Licenses/Certifications: Must hold a current State of Alaska CNA certification. New CNA graduates and candidates that hold a current, unencumbered nurse assistant certification or registration from another U.S. state must obtain the State of Alaska certification within four (4) months of hire. Current ServSafe food handlers' certification within four (4) months of hire. Experience: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
