Job Title: Home Health Agency Director of Nursing - Company: Location: Albuquerque, NM Description: Director of. Nursing for a New Home Health Agency must be a registered nurse in New Mexico with at least 3 years of administrative/supervisory experience, 2 of which must have been in a home health agency. He/she must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week flexible time with a minimum of 5 hours in/out of office per week, which may occur between Monday/Saturday, 9 am ? 6 pm (as mutually agreed and scheduled), and must be available by phone at all times. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes but not limited to the following): Assist a newly established Home Health Agency to meet and maintain compliance with state licensing and medicare certification guidelines. Conducts an advisory committee meeting. Establishes and maintains personnel files that meet the DHS requirements. Maintains medical records in a secure, locked device or area. Help to train Agency staff in the setup of delivery of patient care and documenting performance evaluations. Understands and interprets policies in the policy manual. Prepares an in-service plan and conducts same as indicated. Establishes and implements a performance review program. Responsibility and oversight of QI function of the agency and knowledge of OASIS-C reporting and significance of reports. He/She will have knowledge of referral sources in the Phoenix health care community; other desirable abilities include ability to train permanent staff. This may lead to a full-time permanent job in the future if mutually desired after accreditation is obtained.
