We are seeking qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who will be involved in the administration of anesthesia and related services. As a member of the Department of Anesthesiology, the CRNA provides anesthesia services under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist. Successful individuals must have graduated from accredited nursing and nurse anesthesia educational programs accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
Requirements: A minimum of one year of experience as a CRNA is desired, preferably in a tertiary care facility. A current license in the State of New York as a registered nurse is also required. Applicants must have successfully completed the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists examination and meet the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists biennial recertification criteria. In addition, applicants must be insurable by a hospital medical malpractice insurance carrier and must maintain current certification in BCLS, ACLS and Infection Control.
