Perform pre-operative patient shave preparation and routine lab tests. Assist in preparing the O.R. for surgery. Responsible for setting up, stocking, and cleaning Preop/PACU/Anesthesia. Assist in the preparation of surgical equipment and assist with inventory. Assist with preparation of rooms including cleaning, pulling trash, linen and reorganizing for to-follow surgical procedures. Obtain and deliver supplies and equipment from other departments.Required Qualifications: Graduation from a medical assistant program, which includes a clinical externship or an equivalent amount of education and experience. Experience in the Operating Room/PACU/Pre-OP setting. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team member. Ability to meet functional job requirements. Must be able to take call, with 30 minute arrival time and be willing and able to cross train to other areas. Desired Qualifications: Self motivated and excellent organization and communication skills. Minimum of 2 years of recent O.R. experience (within 5 years).
