The primary responsibilities of this position are:
Serve as medical case manager for children entering the Baltimore City Foster Care system
Collaborate with current health suite staff to schedule initial health screenings, comprehensive screenings, dental and mental health screenings
Work closely with foster care families with navigating the HealthChoice system and establishing a medical home for foster care child(ren)
Coordinate care for children needing specialty care or follow up medical care
Compile existing medical records for medical home
Documents case management assessments, activity, treatment plans and resolutions
Participates in staff, community, professional and inter-agency meetings and conferences.
Other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or AA, RN, CCM
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
A minimum of one year related experience
Relevant clinical experience providing services to families and children, preferably in a public health/community setting.
Good planning and organizational skills
Well developed interpersonal & communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Computer literate specifically MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
1). LPN, RN, or other health care related field.
2). Three (3) or more years of clinical and clerical medical office experience.
3). Organizational management experience.
4). Foot & Ankle X-ray certification (or obtained within 1 year)
5). Strong computer skills (including, but not limited to, spreadsheets, word documents, and email) necessary.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
1. Assigns and regulates clerical and secretarial functions.
2. Delegates responsibilities among the staff and ensures that no staff member is overloaded with work. If that is the case, either reshuffles the responsibilities of the various staff members or else recruits new staff.
3. Determines the working conditions of the employees in the office.
4. Approves time for payroll on a biweekly basis
5. Approves and calculates vacation requests, PTO, and vacation days for staff
6. Checks and confirms receipt of all supply orders including Durable Medical Equipment (orthotics and Diabetic shoes)
7. Collects, counts, balances and approves all money envelopes on a weekly basis
8. Serves as liaison between the Doctors, staff and our pharmaceutical representatives
9. Communicates with our nerve conduction technician regarding the schedule
10. Evaluates and manages the performance of each employee and plays a crucial role in their promotion.
11. Responsible to train and orient the new employees about the office policies, procedures and equipment.
12. Devises training programs for the employees and makes arrangements for such sessions to be conducted.
13. Designs filing systems and ensures that these systems are up to date by lying down the procedures for maintaining records.
14. Maintains the office budget and records all expenses.
15. Ensure that personnel files are up to date and secure, and that transfer and disposal of records as per the retention schedules and policies are carried out effectively.
16. Holds meetings with the Chief Practice Administrator to review performance of the office and the staff.
17. Delivers reports and presentations regarding monthly office statistics.
18. Attends monthly Management meetings that the management conducts about the organization's policies and the steps that it plans to take for its strategic development.
19. Ensures that there is adequate supply of stationery and equipment.
20. Updates health safety policies including HIPPA and OSHA, and ensures that they are being adhered to.
21. Handles patient’s complaints and inquiries.
22. Resolve disputes in the office.
23. Sets up employee work schedules biweekly
24. Meets biweekly with employees and ensures that all the office policies are properly communicated to the staff.
25. Responsible for office and building daily operations.
26. Reports to Chief Financial Officer on all TRIPOD/FIVEPOD real estate matters.
