Job Title: 3 Registered Nurse Positions Company: Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Location: Sitka, AK Description: 1 Public Health Nurse Case Manager: Provide Public Health Nursing services with an Emphasis on disease/disability prevention and health promotion to Alaska Native elders in two villages (Kake and Angoon). Provide comprehensive case management services that are integrated with and enhance the existing network of clinical, home and community – based services. Provide individual and community base assessment, planning, services, coordination, communication, and monitoring to promote health, and to prevent and manage disease. Work to improve the system care for elders at SEARHC. 1 Registered Nurse-Acute MS: Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. 1 Director of Nursing Services:  Functions as the Nurse Executive for the Mt. Job Title: Flight Nurse Company: Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Location: Sitka, AK Description: Flight Nurse, PT/60, #609001 DUTIES: The primary function of the Flight Nurse is to provide medevac services to the rural communities of Southeast Alaska. This position is located in Community Health Services, Sitka. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse (RN). National certification as a flight nurse, emergency room nurse, or critical care nurse. Additional experience beyond the minimum requirement may serve in lieu of certification as described below. Nurses with Emergency room and critical care backgrounds must take the State of Alaska Medevac Escort class as soon as available after hire. ACLS and PALS. With National Certification: 2 years experience as a Flight Nurse. -OR- 2 years experience in the Critical Care or Emergency Room setting. Without National Certification: 4 years experience as a Flight Nurse. -OR- 4 years experience in the Critical Care or Emergency Room setting. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLITIES: Working knowledge of patient assessment, advanced airway care, intravenous catheterization, dose calculation and administration of medications, pre-flight patient preparation and patient monitoring during transport.
