Completes Primary Care Provider confirmation documents and manages the flow of referral and communication paperwork to referral sources ? Assists with the tracking and recording of adverse drug reactions ? Assists with the tracking and reporting of high risk medications monitoring ? Assists medical providers with prior authorization and recertification of need process for hospitalizations ? Manages medication storage and follows guidelines established by policy ? Tracks medication denials ? Assists Medical Director in Quality Management and Utilization activities ? All other job related duties as assigned. OTHER REVELANT INFORMATION: Relationships: Reports to the Medical Director; works closely with the Clinical Director, Prescribers, and other Behavioral Health staff. Working Conditions: The working conditions for the Medical Assistant involves the potential for exposure to infectious and contagious diseases, body fluids including blood, and the potential for needle sticks.
