The RN Educator / NATP Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality nurse aide training in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH), and OBRA '87 regulations. The instructor will facilitate classroom instruction, skills lab training, and clinical rotations within the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), ensuring trainees acquire the knowledge and competencies necessary to become Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs). Position requires travel to training sites across Pennsylvania all year round. This 1099 position will be contracted under WeCare Centers.
Key Responsibilities
Program Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Conduct classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction in alignment with state-approved NATP curriculum.
- Teach fundamental nursing principles, resident care procedures, infection control, safety protocols, and communication skills.
- Utilize interactive teaching methods, including hands-on demonstrations, role-playing, and technology-based learning tools.
- Provide individualized instruction and remediation to ensure all trainees meet learning objectives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (Required)
- Active Driver's License
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, with one year in long term care
- Prior teaching, training experience
- Must complete an approved Train the Trainer (TT) course or possess previous NATP instructor experience.
