Nurse Assistant (CNA) Jobs in Elizabethtown, North Carolina

Responsible for basic patient care. Certified nurse assistants (CNAs)— also called nursing aides— help patients with day-to-day activities such as bathing and dressing. They report clients’ concerns and significant changes in vital signs to Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare personnel. They also transport and reposition patients as necessary. Depending on state regulations, they may administer medications as well.

Nursing assistants work in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Because they may need to communicate with patients about highly personal and sensitive information, CNAs must be empathetic, compassionate, and emotionally stable.

What is a Hospitalist RN?

Defined simply, hospitalists are physicians with a primary focus on providing general medical care to hospitalized patients. Since 1996, the hospitalist concept has grown to include a mix of mid-level practitioners, nurses, and/or medical assistants who are also primarily focused on and experienced in the complexities of inpatient care and clinical workflows.
