Position Summary

Vinson Hall Retirement Community (VHRC), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in McLean, VA, is seeking an energetic and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Memory Care department. • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• Current CPR certification required.

• One year of experience in Memory Care preferred.

• Experience with geriatrics preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct resident care in the Memory Care unit, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective implementation of care plans, documenting any updates or changes.

• Assist with coordinating pharmacy services, liaising with both military and civilian pharmacies to ensure accurate medication administration for residents.

• Administer and document medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with state and facility regulations.

• Oversee the ongoing assessment of residents, monitor any changes in condition, and ensure accurate documentation.

• Conduct rounds regularly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
