Travel Nurse (RN) Tele/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU)

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - IMCU - Bean 5 Floor

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length: 26 weeks

• ME License
• 1-2 Years Minimum Experience
• IMC RNs must have Vent experience
• Must have experience with tracheostomys and ready/interpreting telemetry strips
• BLS
• MMC mandatory onboarding education

• EMR: Epic
• Float Requirements: yes IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within MMC. IMC RNs will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need and skill as well as the needs of nursing units.
• Number of Beds: 43
• Patient Ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
• Equipment: Specific to our IMC patients: Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP. Both IMC and Med Tele equipment: CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance
• Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.
