General Summary of Position
Bring your passion for leadership to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital ; one of the most technologically advanced PACU settings in the DC region. Our brandnew Verstandig Pavilion houses two stateoftheart Phase I PostAnesthesia Care Units (PACUs) stacked on adjacent floors each with 24 spacious recovery bays supporting 31 leadingedge operating rooms. Here, our PACU nurses stabilize airways, manage complex hemodynamics, control pain and perform frequent surgicalsite and vitalsign assessments for adult and pediatric patients who have undergone everything from sameday ENT procedures to highacuity neurosurgery, transplant and thoracic cases.
As Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will partner with the PACU Director of Nursing to champion clinical excellence, operational efficiency and an exceptional experience across both 24bay units. You will guide more than 80 RNs and support staff in delivering evidencebased, ASPANaligned care for a diverse surgical population whose acuity ranges from ambulatory to critical care.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; masters in nursing or related field preferred.
- Active DC RN license; BLS required (AHA or ARC).
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive clinical nursing experience, ideally in PACU, critical care or perioperative services; previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to drive quality, safety and staff engagement in a fastpaced, highacuity environment.
This position has a hiring range of $100,588 - $190,340
