Job Summary and QualificationsThe Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator organizes the Trauma Programs injury prevention processes and initiatives for the program across the continuum of care. The Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator collaborates with the professional community and develops relationships with other agencies and organizations, enhancing trauma-related care and community relations. The Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator provides trauma-related prevention and outreach education and training to nurses, EMS providers, other healthcare providers, and intended target audiences. The Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator plays an integral role in injury prevention research and injury prevention programs that are consistent with the community needs, as well as research efforts related to trauma center data analysis and evidence-based research activities. The Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator oversees the Trauma Programs public relations, outreach, and injury prevention programs to maintain Trauma Center verification and re-verification requirements for outreach education and injury prevention, including related Performance Improvement initiatives.
What you will do in this role:
Associate Degree in Nursing , Bachelors preferred
3+ years experience in Nursing
3+ years experience in Trauma Nursing, preferred
Experience in Quality/Performance Improvementpreferred
Experience in Project Management preferred
Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
