Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required for submission).

This role will require floating to multiple units

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Shift & Scheduling : Every third weekend- Friday and Saturday are considered the weekend for nights

Float Requirement : Will float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health)

Exam : RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. Open book exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated

RTO : Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients : Total knees, total hips, should replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, IV infusions, dementia, oncology, fractures-hips, ankles; sepsis, pneumonia, cholelithiasis, ambulatory dysfunction, appendicitis, acute respiratory distress, CHF, dementia, ETOH/drug abuse

Others : Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
