The Landing of Poughkeepsie , located in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking an Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the clinical team in our community of 94 units (64 Assisted Living and 30 Memory Care).
Your Role: Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing (RN)As the Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing, you will oversee the clinical operations, compliance, and overall health and wellness of residents across Assisted Living and Memory Care. This hands-on leadership role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with proven senior living and clinical leadership experience who can guide and inspire the care team while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director (ED) and serves as the primary clinical leader for the community.
What Youll DoClinical Oversight & Compliance
- Ensure the community remains compliant with all federal, state, and local clinical regulations.
- Lead resident assessments, care planning, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Partner with pharmacy consultants, physicians, and allied health providers to optimize resident outcomes.
Resident Care Leadership
- Oversee the development and updates of individualized service plans.
- Monitor changes in condition and ensure timely documentation and follow-up.
- Maintain consistent communication with residents families and responsible parties.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing and care staff.
- Manage clinical staffing schedules and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with the Executive Director and leadership team on occupancy, satisfaction, and quality goals.
- Represent the clinical department during family discussions, team meetings, and community engagement.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Prior senior living and clinical leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and state guidelines.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Salary range: $90,000 $105,000 annually + 10% bonus potential (paid twice/year).
