Assistant / Associate Professor of Nursing & Director of Graduate Programs

The Program Director is responsible for curriculum development and revision, student recruitment, faculty development and mentoring. In addition, the Program Director will work closely with the Associate Dean of Nursing on accreditation and strategic planning for program development. Teaching responsibilities will be a requirement in this 11-month tenure line faculty position.

Administrative

  • Curriculum development and revision.
  • Recruitment and hiring of faculty and staff.
  • Faculty development and mentoring.
  • Graduate Student advising oversight.
  • Recruitment and admission of students.
  • Program accreditation.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Commitment to and support of the Christian beliefs, values and objectives of the University as embodied in its Doctrinal, Mission and Goal Statements.

Teaching

  • Holds faculty status within the School of Nursing.
  • Graduate teaching as schedule allows and there is a need for instruction.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Master of Science in Nursing.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or relevant field.
  • Current Pennsylvania registered license or eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure.
  • High level of organizational, managerial, and professional communication skills.
  • Current knowledge and experience with curriculum design and online graduate education.
  • Evidence of scholarship commensurate with a tenure line position.
  • Experience with holistic or integrative nursing is preferred but not required.
