Essential Functions:
Ensure Rule 116 is followed at all sites.Provide supervision and training to RN Nurse Trainers on Rule 115 and 116.Assist with and be knowledgeable of general health status of residents.Review, track and participate in Quality Assurance for all medication errors.Audit sites for compliance of Rule 115 and 116.Review and update policies and procedures of LSSI and DHS/DDD.On call availability for consultation.Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license required.Background check clearance required.Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license required.Minimum of one (1) year clinical professional experience within the past five (5) years required.Ability to become and RN Nurse Trainer through DDD required.Experience working with individuals with development disabilities preferred.Experience providing leadership and training to nursing and direct care personnel preferred.Participation in ongoing learning opportunities to keep skills current required.Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.Excellent organization sills and basic pc/computer skills, including experience using.Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software required.Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.Access to reliable transportation required.Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
