Our Behavioral Health Department provides residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment services for individuals struggling with substance-use disorders and co-occurring disorders. We also provide mental health counseling services for adults and teenagers who are referred to us from within our provider network.

About the Position:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and assists with data collection under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The CNA assists with inpatient care throughout nursing areas and is responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, and appropriate documentation of services. The CNA provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety. The CNA assists as needed with general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure
  • BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association
  • State of Alaska Driver's License within 30 days of employment
  • Peer Support Professional I (PSP I) from ACBHC within 1 year of employment
  • Mental Health First Aide Certification within 1 year of employment
