The Clinical Nurse Manager provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, patientacentered, highaquality care within the department. This role oversees daily clinical operations, ensures optimal staffing and resource utilization, and supports nursing staff through mentorship, performance management, and professional development. The Clinical Nurse Manager collaborates closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and senior leadership to drive quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, and a culture of excellence. In addition, this leader plays a key role in implementing evidenceabased practices, managing departmental initiatives, and fostering an environment that promotes continuous improvement, staff engagement, and exceptional patient experiences.
Qualifications
Required
Current South Carolina or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse (SCLLR) in good standing required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Or development plan as agreed upon by CNO..
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Leadership or supervisory experience.
National specialty certification (e.g., CNML, NEaBC, CEN, CCRN, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, communication, and relationshipabuilding skills.
Ability to manage complex clinical operations and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and evidenceabased nursing practice.
Proficiency in problemasolving, conflict resolution, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Provide daily oversight of nursing operations, staffing, workflow, and clinical processes.
Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff to support professional growth and maintain high performance.
Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and staffing to ensure adequate coverage and skill mix.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, patient safety, and service excellence.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for nursing personnel .
Clinical Oversight
Ensure delivery of safe, highaquality, evidenceabased patient care.
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing practice.
Support compliance with nursing standards, regulatory guidelines, and hospital policies.
Monitor patient care outcomes, quality indicators, and performance metrics.
Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
May be required to staff clinically if needed.
Operations & Coordination
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support departments to optimize patient flow and service delivery.
Assist with budget management, supply oversight, and efficient resource use .
Responding to patient concerns and service recovery is needed to enhance patient experience .
Ensure readiness for surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections (e.g., DNV, CMS, state agencies).
Education & Professional Development
Identify learning needs and support ongoing education, competencies, and training for nursing staff.
Facilitate orientation programs for new hires and crossatraining of existing staff.
Promote and model evidenceabased practice, professional standards, and continued professional development
