Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Travel Medical Assistant to work out of our Houston, TX clinic. You will work a hybrid schedule and travel up to 70% of the time (within regional stes), with an overall focus on coordining the shipment of clinic supplies with internal and external partners to ensure successful events through to completion and transition on-going activities to permanent operional teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work as a team
- Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, da entry
- Assist in the examinion process of pients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview pients
- Record informion on pients' charts
- Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from pients
- Prepare specimens for laborory analysis
- Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests. EKGs, PFTs, Doppler studies, etc.
Required Qualificions:
- A High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
- 5+ years of hands-on clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care and/or ER as a Medical Assistant
- Gradued from accredited vocional MA program with MA certifice/ MA Diploma OR Military Equivalent (Medic/Hospital Corpsman)
- A valid Nional Certificion from one of the following Associions:
- Nional Health Career (NHA)
- American Associion of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Nional Associion for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- American Medical Technologist (AMT)
- Nional Center or Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certificion required within 30 days of starting.
- Permanent residency in TX AND within 50 miles (or less) of a major US airport
- A valid U.S. Drivers License and ability/willingness to drive between work locions
- Must possess current REAL ID-compliant identificion or equivalent TSA approved identificion prior to start de.
- Ste of Washington ONLY: Active Medical Assistant License w/ the Washington Ste Department of Health.
- Technology driven medical da entry system experience or reled computer da entry.
- Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respiror fit test, properly wearing organizional standard respirory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinions as required.
- If applicable, must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).
Additional Informion:
- Training: 3 weeks of comprehensive onboarding and training. Week 1 - online compliance on-site in Houston, TX Clinic, week 2 - on-site out of our Nashville corpore office for hands on clinical training, week 3 - systems training with the leadership team
- Shift: (When in Clinic) Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30am -5:30pm, (When Traveling) Sunday through Surday, hours vary
- Travel requirements: Up to 70% regional travel (traveling to different stes), potentially some nional travel if needed
