Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Military Healthcare | Ft. Bliss, TX
GiaCare Inc. is seeking experienced Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to support operations at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) in El Paso, Texas. This is a mission-critical role supporting active duty service members, veterans, and their families within a high-tempo military treatment facility.
This position operates in a structured, compliance-driven environment with a strong emphasis on patient throughput, documentation accuracy, and adherence to federal healthcare standards.
Position Overview
As a CMA supporting WBAMC, you will play a key role in patient flow, clinical support, and administrative coordination. You will work alongside physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery within a military treatment facility environment.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant post-graduation
Ability to operate within a structured, compliance-driven environment (HIPAA, DHA standards)
Must be US Citizen
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain examination rooms prior to patient arrival
Assist with patient intake, check-in, discharge, and appointment coordination
Accurately obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient information
Support clinical staff with diagnostic procedures and patient care tasks
Administer medications and injections as authorized
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical systems
Ensure compliance with all federal, military, and facility-specific regulations
Support patient flow and scheduling to maintain operational efficiency
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday
0730 - 1630 (9-hour shift with 1-hour unpaid lunch)
No on-call or callback requirements
