Responsibilities The Manager of Nursing is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process. Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory, as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities. Qualifications Education High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR other healthcare related Bachelors Degree preferred Experience Demonstrated expertise in the service area and leadership ability required 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required Licenses and Certifications BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required Disclaimers
