The Nurse Manager has twenty-four-hour accountability for the clinical and administrative leadership of the assigned patient care area. The position assures the delivery of quality patient care and accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the UnityPoint Health Meriter system. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the control, coordination and evaluation of human, material and fiscal resources in the assigned patient care area. The Nurse Manager is responsible for promoting a collaborative environment in which excellence in patient care can be delivered.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation of new initiatives that support UnityPoint Health Meriters strategic priorities; these initiatives may or may not eventually become more operational on a daily basis. Examples include: new technology or innovations in patient care, patient care data analysis, and ongoing structural reorganization to meet health care demands / managing both the physical and emotional impact.

Education:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensure as Registered Nurse in State of Wisconsin
- Three - Five years nursing experience
- MSN
- Previous management experience preferred
- ANCC specialty certification in area of practice
