Overview Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Oncology Central Maine Medical Center | Lewiston, MEFull-Time | Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) serves as the acting leader in the absence of the Director or Manager and is accountable for staffing coordination, patient care oversight, staff supervision, performance improvement initiatives, and departmental operations during the assigned shift. Direct patient care may be provided as needed within scope of practice. Responsibilities Provide clinical and operational oversight for the Oncology department Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts Ensure quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards Coordinate staffing, workflow, and department operations Assist with orientation, training, and staff development Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams Support performance improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Perform direct patient care as needed Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Current and valid state Registered Nurse license. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care. Non-OB Facilities - NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained. Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.
