Interim CVOR Nurse Educator Needed in a Great Location!

The Position

An Interim CVOR Nurse Educator is needed to support and build a growing CVOR education program within a high-acuity academic medical center environment.

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, this leader will oversee approximately 30 FTEs.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing CVOR education programs, mentoring and supporting preceptors, onboarding new staff, collaborating effectively with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, and helping expand procedural complexity and case volume within the department.

The ideal candidate will have extensive CVOR experience within a Level I academic or similarly complex environment, including cardiac scrub experience and strong communication skills. Cardiac First Assist experience is highly preferred. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.

Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

Active RN license required; DC RN license strongly preferred.

Minimum of three to five years of CVOR circulator experience required.

Experience within a Level I academic medical center or similarly complex surgical environment strongly preferred.

Compensation Details

Compensation Range: $165,000 to $175,000 annually.

The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.

The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
