Experience:
12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
24 months of Nurse Management experience.
Experience with Cerner is preferred.
BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Alaska license (required for submission).
Local & travel allowed.

No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Yukon Kuskokwin Health Corporation (Non-MSP - VMS).

Required Skills/Experience: - Must also have at least 2 years of surgical services management (at a surgery center or the like). - Minimum of (2) two years experience in operating room
Required Credentials:- Completed a nursing program from an NLN-approved institution.- Medication calculation test for adults and pediatrics required upon arrival before working the floor.- Clinicians who have completed Alaskas License By Endorsement process and obtained temporary permit may be submitted.
Preferred Skills/Experience:- Knowledge of budgets, reimbursements, coding, claims processing, and fiscal management desired.
Preferred Credentials:- MSN or masters degree in a health care or business administration related field preferred.
Unit Details: - Placement will be at a regional clinic. - Responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and directing Surgical Services operations and staff across the operating room, outpatient surgical services, anesthesia, and PACU. - Coordinates visiting specialists to maintain a workable OR schedule. - Role includes fiscal, material, and human resource management, departmental policy/procedure development, and quality improvement initiatives. - Supervises OR department staff including nurses, anesthesia staff, pre-op provider, and OR support staff. - Uses Microsoft Office. - Housing is provided
Shift & Scheduling: - Discuss shift details with manager - No holiday coverage required. - No call requirement
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
