As a Continuing Care Assistant In Training (CCAIT), you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities.

What youll do:

  • Provide personal care to patients(ie. Grooming, dressing, bathing, etc.)

  • Provide assistancewith a variety of household tasks (ie. Meal assistance, light clean-up duties, etc.)

  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, psychological, support to thepatientand family

  • Using work device, document information required for eachpatientvisit

  • Adhere to theParaMedpolicies in all interactions withpatients, families or other partiesensuringprivacy and confidentiality

  • Escalatepatient-related issues to supervisors as needed

What you bring:

  • At least 1 year of experience inproviding personal care

  • Plan to successfully complete CCA exam in 4 months

  • Nursing background or extensive PSW experience will also be considered

  • Experience with elderly populations is preferred

  • A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred as travel topatientresidences is required

  • Ability to effectively communicate both through oral and written mediums

  • Able to provide a current criminal check with clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS) if selected

  • Ability to demonstrate compassion, tact and diplomacy when interacting with residents/patients and their families
