The 12-bed Pulmonary Unit is loced on the 6 th floor of the new Main Tower. The clinical staff on Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respirory therapists to provide top-notch care for pients with acute and chronic respirory issues.

In the ste-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provides high-quality nursing care to acute care pients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evalue the care of pients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organizion and demonstres professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordining pient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Coordines the delivery of quality nursing care for pients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operional issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communices pient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the approprie leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

*Pient rios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of pient needs. Extenuing circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher rios*

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Gradue of a nursing program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the Ste of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multiste License. BLS certificion required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced certificion in field of specialty, if applicable. Demonstred clinical competency.
