Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Required Skills/Experience:Min 1 year recent med surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds.Travel experience including successful completion.
Preferred Skills/Experience:Neuro experience preferred, but not required.
Unit Details:Assessments, documentation, completion of nursing tasks, and medication administration.Uses Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps.Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4-5:1 on day shift, 6:1 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling:Every other weekend and every other holiday.Rotation schedule varies by unit need; clinicians may work 3 weeks days then 3 weeks nights in one schedule cycle, and the next cycle may be all days or all nights.Clinicians can self-schedule, but only the days off listed on their contract are guaranteed; self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance the unit, and clinicians may need to trade shifts for specific days off.Schedule balancing is intended to avoid frequent day/night flipping.
Floating Requirements:Primary unit will be 6AB, but clinicians will be expected to float to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo.
Special Requests:Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job.Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted.Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
