Our ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to think critically, demonstrate exceptional communication skills and possess a strong desire to improve the overall quality of care for our patients and families. A Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical-Surgical setting. This role must communicate with Providers, Medical Surgical/co-workers, and other staff as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The RN is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, the RN is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments - this includes nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, and execution of the medical regimen as well as administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law and hospital policy. Currently seeking: Night shift positions with an extra $3.75/hour shift differential! Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Basic computer knowledge. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of nursing care principles, practices and procedures. Knowledge of safety principles and infection prevention in the patient care environment. Ability to assess patient's needs and coordinate appropriate nursing care. Knowledge of rehabilitative nursing including pre- and post-operative care. Must be able to pass N-95 respiratory testing or have the ability wear a Powered Air Purifying Respirator ( PAPR ) annually Specialty unit employees for areas such as ICU and OB. Must meet clinical competency standards specific to the assigned areas. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Education Requirements A.S.N or B.S.N from an accredited school of nursing. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire). NRP and PALS required for working in specific specialty areas. New Grads welcome to apply! Experience No experience is required; however, 2 or more years of full time experience in related area is preferred. Schedule Shifts/Hours may vary depending on the needs of the department for excellent patient care and should be confirmed with the Acute Care Manager. Compensation $33.74-$49.15 DOE , an additional $8.00 based on specialty. Sign On & Retention Bonuses available for up to $20,000 over 3 year period. Benefits Package Available.
