Grundy Center Family Medicine is seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to help deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages in a welcoming clinic environment. Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for appointments, exams, and minor procedures
  • Obtain vital signs, patient history, and other clinical information
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with daily patient care activities
  • Administer medications and vaccines as ordered
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing as needed
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient care tracking
  • Document patient information accurately within the electronic health record
  • Provide education and answer questions for patients and family members
  • Support a positive, collaborative clinic environment focused on excellent patient care
  • Maintain compliance with clinic, safety, privacy, and regulatory standards
Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associates Degree

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
    • National Healthcareer Association
    • American Association of Medical Assistants
    • National Center for Competency Testing
    • National Certified Medical Assistant
    • National Association of Health Professionals
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants
    • American Allied Health
    • American Medical Technologists
    • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant through the National Healthcareer Association
