A contract opportunity is available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support a psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. Schedule:
- 3648 hours per week (determined by unit needs)
- Available shifts:
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be available when needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses
- Administer routine medications and treatments per facility policies
- Track, document, and communicate patient behaviors, vital signs, and status changes
- Participate in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Support therapeutic activities and structure throughout the unit
- Follow established behavioral health safety guidelines to promote a secure environment
- Relay updates to nursing leadership and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state specific)
- Prior experience in psychiatric/behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred
- Current BLS certification (mandatory)
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or similar) preferred or required by start date
- Ability to pass background and drug screening, and complete onboarding
