Deliver critical support to patients at a leading psychiatric and behavioral health hospital during a 26-week contract assignment. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with experience or interest in psychiatric care are needed to provide compassionate, hands-on care to individuals in a structured and supportive clinical environment.
Schedule:
- 3648 hours per week based on unit needs
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime possible depending on facility requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses
- Administer medications and treatments per established policies
- Monitor and document patient behaviors, vital signs, and changes in clinical status
- Aid with the processes of patient admission, discharge, and transfer
- Support therapeutic programs and daily patient activities
- Strictly adhere to behavioral health safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
- Communicate updates to nursing leadership and members of the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in implementing individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (following state regulations)
- Prior experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred
- Valid BLS certification required
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred or to be completed prior to beginning assignment
- Ability to pass background and drug screening as part of onboarding process
