Takes accure vital signs (i.e. blood pressure, pulse, respirions, temperure) and other required measurements (i.e. height, weight, etc.).
Assists with providing emotional, physical comfort and safety needs of pients.
Prepares pients and rooms for examinions and diagnostic tests; assists/chaperones pient care providers during examinions, procedures, trements and diagnostic tests
Performs routine procedures in accordance with established standard opering procedures or physician's instructions, blood pressure screenings, ear irrigion's, etc.

Position may be designed as Mission Essential. The incumbent required to report to work during times of contingency operions, nural disasters, extreme weher or other emergency situions.
Position is designed as Inclement Weher Essential. The incumbent must make every tempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weher conditions.

A Personnel Security Investigion is required
This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinions. Applicants tentively selected for this position required to sign a stement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinions or must provide a recognized exemption.
Immunizion screening is required. Hepitis B immunizion is required for all positions with direct pient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizions depending on the type of position.
A pre-placement medical examinion is required.
This position is a Testing Designed Position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Modere to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certificion sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Associion (AHA). Advanced certificion (e.g., Advanced Life Support) does not supersede BLS completion.
This position has specific initial background investigion and periodic re-verificion requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
This position may require roting shifts (i.e. work schedule th requires employees to continuously rote from one shift to another predetermined intervals).

Minimum Qualificions: Nursing Assistant GS-05:
Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Assisting care providers during examinions, procedures, or trements (i.e. thro/wound cultures, dressing changes, blood pressure screenings, ear irrigions, suture removal, bandaging, splinting, etc.) or assisting pients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL); maintaining pient medical records/charts; and obtaining vital signs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your educion for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your educion meets the definitions below:
