Position Purpose: The Nurse Educator is a professional nurse who provides consultation to nursing personnel and conducts and coordinates educational experiences. The responsibilities encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical skills development, in-services and continuing education programs at the Unit and/or Department level. Education and Work Experience: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. MSN, other related Master's degree (or working toward degree) 3 - 5 years' experience in nursing education is required Knowledge and Skills: Experience in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred Certifications/Licenses: Current licensure in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse. CPR certification. Certification in specialty areas desirable. Location: SHS SMG ADM DIABETES SERV LI Schedule: Full Time, Days, 8am-4:30pm
