ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and in a timely manner.
- Provides routine care such as transferring, positioning, and transporting residents safely.
- Administers medications (oral, topical, and other approved routes) according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Documents medication administration and resident care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Observes residents for changes in condition, behavior, or response to medications and reports findings to the nurse.
- Assists with meal service, feeding, hydration, and monitoring of nutritional intake.
- Performs light housekeeping, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment, including resident rooms and common areas.
- Responds promptly to call lights and resident requests.
- Uses appropriate communication techniques to support residents' emotional and behavioral needs.
Other Duties:
Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
- State-approved caregiver training
- Medication Technician certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in ALF or memory care preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
