Position Summary:
A Medical Assistant carries out a range of clinical and administrative duties in an outpatient examination room while supervised by a physician.
Responsibilities:
- Taking patient's vital signs and inputting patient information into our ERM system
- Preparing patients for any necessary examination
- Cleaning and disinfecting treatment spaces
- Complying with LMC's infection control policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Certifications obtained from an accredited provider.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required in order to communicate effectively with our patient population.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or in additional areas of patient health care in a clinical setting.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
