Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Lukes Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Lukes Health System.

Required Skills/Experience:- Newborn stabilization.- 2 years of LDRP experience (strong L&D experience, will consider candidates with strong recent labor but need some LDRP or PP in the last few years in addition to labor experience).- Must be comfortable working with OB in house and managing laboring patients autonomously and independently, especially on nights and weekends.
Required Credentials:- AWHONN FHM may be Intermediate or Advanced.
Special Requests:- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.- If previously employed at the facility, one-off exceptions may be considered but must be approved by St. Lukes Health System.- Start date must be no later than July 6.- Offers must be signed within 24 hours.
Unit Details:- Secure LDRP unit.- LDRP role caring for laboring and postpartum patients, well mom and well baby, and high-risk and critical patients; includes induction, hypertensive crisis, and hemorrhage protocol. No twins or triplets; will stabilize until transfer.- RNs function as the newborn nurse in C-sections and do not circulate.- Will care for both mom and baby for the first couple of hours/couplets.- Common drips include magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin if transferring out.- Shared hospitalist with Med Surg. Pediatric physician available days Monday-Friday for newborns and on call nights/weekends.- OBs are not in house; they are in clinic Monday-Friday and called in for laboring patients.- Anesthesia is on call after hours with a 30-minute response time.- RT equipment includes PRN nasal cannula and nonrebreathers.- No nurse aides or surgical techs currently.- House supervisor available for support.- RNs are not required to read their own strips.- Uses Epic and Centricity.
Shift & Scheduling:- Self-scheduling with core staff.- Weekends as needed and equitably distributed with core staff.- Holidays are equitably distributed with core staff.
Floating Requirements:- First to float.- Floating may involve helping hands or safety attendant coverage only, not picking up shifts in other departments; must be comfortable with floating/tasking from time to time.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
