Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >55 miles from facility to be submitted.

COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Kearney Regional Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:- Strong IV skills required.- C-section experience required; circulate required.

Unit Details:- Ratios: couplet 1:3, laboring 1:1.- Uses OBIX fetal monitoring system and GE telemetry.- Cares for patients 32 weeks and above; otherwise transfer out. No VBAC. Manages mag sulfate and insulin patients.- Mothers labor and deliver in one bed. There is no nursery; newborns stay in bassinets in their mothers rooms, and babies do not leave their mothers sides. Skin-to-skin care is emphasized.

Shift & Scheduling:- Every 3rd weekend, potentially every other depending on need.- One major and one minor holiday.- Up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements:- First to float to NICU for feeders and growers only.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Drivers license required for submission

Certifications:

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program 8th Edition)

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring) or the alternative certification Advanced AWHONN FHM

BLS (Basic Life Support)
