Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) in Sacramento, CA!

This is an on-site, full-time leadership opportunity supporting perioperative nursing operations within a high-acuity ambulatory surgery center environment. The DON will provide both clinical and administrative oversight across Pre-Op, Operating Room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings while ensuring regulatorypliance, operational efficiency, and high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates must have strong perioperative leadership experience, ASC operational knowledge, and the ability to manage clinical teams in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Pay: $75 to $95 per hour

Type: Full-Time | Temp to Hire | Director of Nursing - Clinical Leadership Role

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Full-Time | On-Call/Operational Leadership as Needed

Location: Sacramento, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide overall clinical leadership for Pre-Op, Operating Room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing operations

Oversee safe, efficient patient flow throughout all perioperative areas

Ensurepliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, and accrediting bodies

Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies and procedures

Lead staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for clinical teams

Monitor clinicalpetencies and ensure ongoing staff education and development

Lead Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives and present findings to leadershipmittees

Oversee infection control program, OSHApliance, and sterile processing standards

Manage risk assessments, incident reporting, and corrective action plans

Support regulatory readiness and accreditation survey preparation (CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission)

Ensure equipment readiness, supply management, and clinical resource availability

Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and administrative leadership

Provide administrative support including credentialing, HRpliance, and documentation

Assist with budgeting, capital planning, and operational decision-making

Act as Administrator in their absence when required

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of perioperative, OR, PACU, procedural, or ambulatory surgical experience required

Minimum 1 year of clinical leadership or management experience required

Strong knowledge of ASC operations, surgical workflows, and regulatory standards

Experience with infection control, risk management, and quality improvement preferred

ASC experience strongly preferred but not required

CNOR certification preferred

Prior experience with CMS, AAAHC, or Joint Commission surveys preferred

Strong leadership,munication, and team-building skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment
