- Shift Leadership : Coordinate and delegate patient care duties based on nurse competency and the needs of highly acute LTAC patients.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Partner actively with physicians, respiratory therapists (RT), and physical rehab staff to ensure dynamic, synchronized patient care plans.
- Clinical Oversight : Handle complex clinical assessments, manage unit workflows, step in for advanced bedside interventions, and safely oversee patient admissions and discharges.
- Family Engagement : Serve as a clinical liaison, effectively communicating and interacting with patient family members regarding care goals.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure shift-level compliance with Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) standards and internal hospital quality guidelines.
- Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Licensure : Active, unrestricted Missouri RN License (or valid Compact multi-state RN license).
- Certifications : Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of acute care, critical care (ICU/PCU), or LTAC experience. Prior Charge Nurse or supervisory experience.
- Clinical Acuity : Proven proficiency managing mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies, complex wound care, and titration of critical IV infusions.
- Full-Time, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total).
- Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) or Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) options available.
- Weekend and holiday rotations as designated by unit operations.
- Base Pay : $30.00-$48.00 / hour , heavily dependent on your specific years of nursing experience.
- Shift Differentials : Additional +$4.00/hour shift differential for hours worked on the Night Shift!
