Perform a wide variety of Registered Nurse duties to support cardiovascular physicians and other medical staff.
Triage patients and assess emergency cases, recording medication lists, allergies, vitals, and patient history in both paper and EMR formats.
Assist physicians in exam rooms, remain readily available for support, and carry out clinical tasks like injections and test scheduling.
Maintain complete and accurate EMR documentation, including medication lists, phone call notes, and interdepartmental communication.
Handle incoming phone calls from pharmacies, patients, physician offices, and other healthcare partners.
Perform and assist with bloodwork, Coumadin clinic tasks, and pacemaker/defibrillator interrogations.
Educate patients and families about diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Complete necessary medical forms for home health, disability, school/work excuses, and more.
Ensure insurance pre-certifications are completed before testing when required.
Maintain and perform checks on medical supplies and equipment, including crash carts, refrigerators, and defibrillators.
Support other clinics or departments as needed.
Carry out additional duties to support the clinic’s mission and patient philosophy.
Deliver high-quality, holistic cardiovascular care through effective patient triage and clinical support.
Facilitate efficient and accurate communication between providers and patients, enhancing care coordination.
Maintain compliance with documentation standards and support risk management through accurate charting.
Provide critical support for diagnostic procedures and help patients understand their treatment process.
Ensure clinic safety and operational readiness by completing routine medical checks and supply management.
Adapt quickly to varying needs by stepping into other clinics or roles when necessary.
Reinforce the clinic’s values and goals through professionalism and patient-centered care.
Licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse.
1–2 years of cardiology experience preferred, with strong clinical judgment.
BLS certification and willingness to complete cardiology and EKG coursework within 12 months.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Ability to manage multiple clinical responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.
Comfortable using EMR systems and handling a variety of administrative tasks related to patient care.
