Our high-performing surgical team prioritizes patient safety through mutual trust and a deeply rooted culture of psychological safety. As Director, you will lead a collaborative, supportive clinical team in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Scope & Volume

  • Leadership Scope: 114 FTEs
  • Surgical Volume: 9,000 annual surgical cases | 2,000 annual endoscopic procedures
  • Capacity: 10 active Operating Rooms

Areas of Responsibility

  • Units: Main OR, Havasu Ambulatory Surgery Center, PreOp, PACU, Preadmission Testing, Anesthesia Services, and CSPD.
  • Specialties: Orthopedics, urology, OB/GYN, general surgery, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, and podiatry.
  • Multidisciplinary Staff: Surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and sterile processing technicians.

How you'll contribute

A Surgical Services Director who excels in this role:

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona RN license and possess a Bachelor of Science (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Master's degree (nursing or relevant field) preferred

  • Experience: 5+years of surgical nursing and proven leadership experience in the surgical setting required.
