Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and evaluation

Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams

Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions

Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)

Support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives

Coordinate care transitions and communicate across departments

Assist in managing patient flow and unit operations

Delegate tasks appropriately and support CNA team members

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or BSN)

BLS certification required

ACLS and Telemetry experience preferred

Previous Med/Surg, acute care, or hospital nursing experience preferred

Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
